traditional and new country music

Beauty and pleasure are two major ingredients of South Louisiana's heritage as evidenced by her festivals, fai-do-dos and Mardi gras. However, few pleasures in life can match that of hearing the melodic, crystalline voice of Courtney Savoie as she delivers one of her soul-soothing ballads or, perhaps, feeling the rafters quiver as she roars into a heart shocking, foot stompin' hand clappin' up-tempo zinger. From the minute this rising young star steps before a mike, the stage and the audience are hers.

Courtney began performing with live bands in the Lafayette, LA area at the age of nine. She has since appeared as the opening act for a number of artists at festivals and clubs in and around Louisiana as well as before a crowd of 9,000 in Branson, MO. At the age thirteen, she became a regular on the Opry Network, performing at a number of theaters in Louisiana. She is currently in the process of finishing a CD to be released soon.

As an integral part of her career development, Courtney has studied vocal, guitar, and piano, as well as dance, choreography, modeling and acting.
The first place winner in the Old Frontier Talent Competition, Courtney has appeared on several local, state and national television shows, as well as being the spotlight artist on a number of local radio station interviews. For four consecutive years, she has finished among the top ten in the Colgate Country Showdown, the youngest contestant to ever make the finals in this adult competition. Courtney has capitalized on her extensive vocal range to master a vast repertoire of songs that run the gamut from country to pop to gospel. She possesses a musical style influenced by her idol, Amie Comeaux, as well as a number of other leading artists, and dreams of one day becoming a national recording star.

Courtney devotes her spare time to working for worthy causes. One of her favorites is the Acadian Village in Lafayette where she regularly performs to raise money for kids with Down Syndrome.
Her most recent undertaking was a talent search for gifted players to comprise her own band. Her search produced a highly creative five-piece group made up of second and third generation musicians ranging in age from eighteen to twenty-one. The name they chose, Sunfire. As a unit, they possess a true feel for what's happening in today's music. Combine the collective musical background of this group with the melodic mastery of this soon to be diva, and you bring the listening public a talent explosion that will soon be heard by country/pop fans from sea to shining sea.
